  1. Elizabeth is breathtakingly annoying. She does not think about something carefully and then come up with an opinion. SHe just takes a partisan view with always a partisan agenda lurking behind and then crafts an argument to supprot. She is very skilled at doing that. She would make a good lawyer becasue she is a good arguer and is skilled at defending her point of view no matter if it correct or not.

  4. So closed minded Elizabeth! This is the same thought process that leads other countries to call us "arrogant Americans". We can not just meddle in other people's business, we've gotten it wrong so many times. Let them speak for themselves. Sure there will be casualties, but it is their struggle. Keep out of it! GOP just needs another excuse to whine about Obama. Give it a rest.

  6. what elizabeth means by obmama not doing enough is he is not doing enough to go in and bomb Iran like the rest of the GOP wants to do....

  7. It is a these moments when you see that Elizabeth has not thought out her response. Everyone asked her"what more do you want Obama to do". Clearly we all know what she meant, no more talk action/war.

  8. EH would be a horrible lawyer because she has no real thought process and her verbal skills are subpar.

  9. Elisabeth clearly has compassion and feels greatly for the individuals effected by the election crisis and she should not be reprimanded for wanting to help these people- unfortunately, on a grander scale, and as we have seen in recent history, local opinion of those helping/interfering can change and even where meddling can be for the best in the long term, it is not always viewed as such when the immediate effects are negative. Therefore it's safer to keep international military action as the very last option. There's almost always a peaceful alternative :)

  10. Leave it up to elisabeth to bring it all back to politics, just as she does with EVERY discussion. Go have your baby already!

  11. Um, I think the Iran thing actually has uite a lot to do with politics! It would be very hard to have a discussion about it without Elisabeth, or any of the others, "bringing it all back to politics!"

  13. @ Anon 3:57...of course it has to do with politics, but they were in the middle of mourning about a girl who lost her life and she segways that into griping about Obama? Face it, she's an idiot and so are you.

  14. OK, Anon @ 6.27 - your perfectly formed arguement ok "she's an idiot and so are you" has convinced me. It was just so brilliant, how long did that take for you to come up with?

  16. I am trying to think of what KIND of MAN would want to marry and have someone like Elizabeth raise their children. I personally think Elizabeth is one of those frat house stalking chicks doing anything to be with what she perceives as the "cool kids" She sucks.

  18. Maybe Elizabeth should go over and do something. Please take Bush and Cheney with her.

  19. Now I do not remember Elizabeth saying that Obama did a great job in Cairo. I remember her saying that he was apologizing to much. I guess she can't make up her mind

  20. Please stop your E. Hasselback hate. It just reinforces that people can't discuss "the issues" without personalizing it with one person's thoughts as fact. Go comment on a political blog if that's your goal, but this show is purely entertainment and doesn't represent the bulk of America. Look at Obama's dwindling numbers. The independents that got mad at Bush are finally realizing that Obama is far left and not a moderate.

I really hope that Obama says something intelligent tomorrow night. But I'm not betting on it. :)

  21. ...what else should Obama do? Threaten the Iran so that the fundamentalists totally freak out and make use of their nuclear bombs? think girl...

  22. Anonymous @ 7:33,
People wouldn't "hate" Elizabeth if she didn't unthinkingly parrot Republican talking points. Let me give you some examples of where the US "encouraged" people/countries in the Middle East: 1950's, US actively fought for the removal of Mossagdeh simply because he wanted to keep Iran's oil profits in Iran, and installed a dictator instead, leading to the Islamic Revolution. 1980's, US provides weapons to Saddam during the Iraq - Iran war to counter-act the fundamentalists. Those same weapons were used against the Kurds after the 1st Gulf War. We also gave weapons to Iran during that same war to fund our war againt the Contra rebels. During that same decade, we also funded, trained and armed the mujahadeen, including Osama bin Laden. I'm sure you know all this. Tell me again what else Obama should do?

You say that this isn't a political blog, yet you unncessarily comment on "Obama's dwindling numbers" (they have mostly stayed at or above 60%) and cast aspersions about what independents believe, topping it all off with an ASSumption about his health care discussion - what a hypocrite!

To get this OFF the general political discussion and onto one of the topics in the video, I'll just say this:
    RIP Neda

  23. There is a clear distinction between simply politics and partisan politics. The very predictable Elizabeth H. doesn't seem to use critical thought but rather takes a partisan stance on everything and then crafts an arguement to support that idea relentlessly, shrilly and sometimes ruthlessly. It is so predictable and irritating.

  24. HA AS IF ELIZABETH IS SUDDENLY SAYING ' WHERE ARE YOU GETTING YOUR INFORMATION FROM?' NOT FOX LOVELY!
