  3. Anon@ 1.13 - It is the politicians who , rightly, should be attacked for Iraq. The soldiers do a brilliant job and should ALWAYS be praised for their courage and hard work.
You can be aganist the war and pro the troops. Very brave for them to come on tv as well.

This was an ILLEGAL war, in ALL aspects. Sure, perhaps these two women soldiers did nothing wrong, BUT NOO not all soldiers do a brilliant job and should be praised!

WHat about the human trash soldiers who raped and killed women and EVEN CHILDREN!

THEse WOMEN ARE JUST LUCKY THEY DIDNT LOSE MORE ThAN JUST A LEG.

  8. These women are brave and they did sacrifice, but they are not heroes. The war in Iraq was a crime.

  10. Even dumber than going to war yourself is letting your children go.
    Gosh, Americans are soo.. arrgghh

completely agree with you anon 1:13

Why do they expect sympathy??? and expect to be treated as heroes? Are the injured civilians in Iraq being cherished this much?

who told them to go off and "fight the war" most people dont even care or know of the full details of this so called war. Its all a bunch of b.s.

  11. I agree with both sides of this argument. First off, the war in Iraq is an ILLEGAL war that went on without the approval of the UN. And close to 100, 000 civilians have died. That is a war crime. A war started without any pretenses. On the other hand, these troops only did their job. By law, they are required to follow orders. If they don't go to war when asked, they would be jailed. But calling them heroes? Hmmmm...I'm not sure. I would call them heroes in the efforts in Afghanistan but I'm not so sure about Iraq.

  12. Umm... something to keep in mind. While soldiers are nothing more than pawns of the politicians to use as they desire, it is also important to remember that all soldiers volunteered to serve (granted that many volunteered prior to the iraq conflict, and had no way of knowing what it would all lead to). These women served as pawns, and they it can be surmised that they support the war, by saying that if they had a chance to do it again, they would, without any doubt. Having said that, they are marking themselves as legitimate targets of anti-war movement members.
