    While I'm a fan of Elisabeth, I don't think that Simon Cowell went overboard in his overture about U2. Personally, I didn't like Adam's performance and don't think he will sell well in the market, but who knows.

    I think Elisabeth was a bit correct, I mean why not give Danny or Kris a U2 song. Like Joy said before commercial break, You want a Bono song, everyone gets a Bono song. Not like that but if Simon chose a song for Adam that required, i guess permission, everybody else should get the same thing

    Wow Elizabeth! Way to overexaggerate! I haven't watched American Idol in past 2 seasons. But I rememeber watching American Idol in the past and I remember judges calling up artists for permission. Is it also not fair when famous singers are guest judges and they say on national TV that one contestant is amazing and predict the winner? I'm sure Elizabeth would not be happy if Adam won. And no need to state why lol. Just watch Fox News analysis on the fact that Adam might win!

    Don't be fooled by the OVEREXAGGERATING ELISABITCH!

    Simon didn't do anything out of the norm. Each and every song the contestants sing on American Idol has to be cleared. They have an entire department called -- you guessed it -- CLEARANCE who get permission/rights to use the songs for the show that week. Just like ABC has to get clips of Idol cleared.

    That being said, since it was the judges who picked the songs for the performers, Simon had every right to pick a song he wanted the Adam to sing and get it cleared personally by Bono. It's no different from Simon picking the song and having the clearance department clear it, or Simon himself. The only "edge," if you will, is that Simon was able to relay what Bono told him.

    Elisabeth is just no happy unless she can take something and blow it WAYYYYY out of range.

    Personally, I wonder how this woman has a husband and any friends at all... because she seems to be the type to CREATE drama... and girls like that can never be trusted, because if they're bored, they will sleep with your boyfriend, even if she's not attracted to him, just so there could be DRAMA in her life.

    Ha ha, NTK2A, you're getting at Elisabeth for overexaggerating and you are going so far as to use her reaction towards something on American Idol to prove that she might sleep with someone's boyfriend? Pot, kettle, black, anyone?

    Hmmm I thing someone's jealous - I'm not sure what of, but this seems like a very petty statement! Her looks, her fame, her job, her husband?

    The thing I don't really like about Elisabeth is that she takes over every segment and talks too much. It's kind of nice when she goes away for a day or two.
