  5. Elisabeth really didn't have any comebacks on Jesse. Too bad most of his comments where lost to me coz of the audio quality, of what I could hear he was good...

  9. From what I could hear I thought Jesse build up his arguments brillialntly. This usually brings Elizabteh down since her arguments are not based on any good facts or on significant idea. You could see the difference with someone like Jesse. I felt a bit sad for Elizabeth.

  12. for those who didn't watch it at home.. jesse basically said that he had undergone SERE training as part of a navy seal training?.. and that waterboarding is TORTURE. he also said he is for legalizing marijuana because it would boost the economic downturn and contribue to the GDP. he pointed out the prohibtion of alcohol and how it led to people flooding places like tijuana just so they could drink. he said putting more focus on drug consumption like *weed*.. instead of legislating real crime only weakens our borders and fuels the drug cartel violence going on at the border. whoopi agreed with him. he also said to give him some minutes with dick cheney and he'll waterboard him into a confession. he also said that the previous administration liked waterboarding muslims

  14. when elizabeth tried to point out that waterboarding wasn't torture just harsh interrrogation techniques.. jesse totally dismantled her argument and made her look like a fool, by telling her that in vietnam with the whole hannoy torture thing.. we were appalled when torture was done to us and our soldiers and that basically guantanamo bay is our hannoy-hilton where we only torture muslims. elizabeth then tried to point out that before we "harshly interrogated" (tortured) khalid sheikh mohammed we had zero information on the terrorists plans but when we interrogated the aforementioned person.. we got loads and loads of "useful information." jesse then told her that was a LIE. he said if torture worked soo much why didn't we use it on the oklahoma city bombers?... why didnt cops use it on serial killers, murderers, rapists and depraved people?.. and elizabeth was floundering like a dumb fish out of water.

  21. Lester thanks for the videos!

The political talk between Jesse and the women is on Youtube. Just search for Jesse and the view, and sort by most recent.

Lizzie was pwned by Ventura. I haven't seen him lately in the media. He needs to be more visible. What he says makes a whole lot of sense.

  22. Will you all hear tis video? http://abc.go.com/daytime/theview/video
Lester thankyou for all you efforts, we all apreciate it!

  23. Maybe you guys could all get DVR or not care about the online quality so much. It's an added bonus what Lester does. I DVR the show when I remember to, then use this site as a fallback because I love coming to get my laughs for the day & you folks all make me laugh with your leftist agendas. Seriously, do you all watch Keith Olbermann? Those Americans that have issues with the U.S., why don't you move...to regions that follow your line of thought or overseas? And those of you abroad, why do you care so much about this show? Do you think that all Americans live in NY, LA, FL or Vegas? Seriously...

  24. you can catch the argument clear here yall

  25. Isn't this show so much more interesting when Babara's not on?

  26. it is the local channels trying to censor Ventura because he is an independent. Everyone should watch the documentary called "Obama Deception" on youtube to understand the truth.

  27. Great show! Lester THANKS!!!

  28. Elisabitch drives me crazy with the whole 'enhanced techniques' b.s. If you truly support torture, have the balls to call it what it is. ugh.

  29. 7:35 PM ANON

You can’t build arguments on the idea that people have to move if they don’t agree with your agenda. It’s called democracy. In a democracy it’s common that people debate different issues. You are practically saying that everyone that doesn’t agree with you should move! That is not very democratic. And isn’t typical that right wingers start making the endowindow that people are UNAMERICAN if they don’t agree with the right agenda.

You can’t build arguments on the idea that foreigners are not allowed to have opinions about America. Then I would demand America to remove all their journalists from Europe. Then I want to forbidd CNN to stop reporting about European issues. Then I want to forbidd Americans that live in Sweden to have freedom of speech. That scenario wouldn’t be very realistic and that is not how a democratic world works.

  30. I TRULY HAVE RESPECT FOR FORMER GOVERNOR JESSE VENTURA. HE NOT ONLY GAVE THE SMACK DOWN & SHUT DOWN DIZZY LIZZY WITH HIS INSIGHT AND KNOWLEDGE ON TORTURE BUT ALSO APPARENTLY DID THE SAME TO DIZZY LIZZY'S PAL SEAN KLANNITY ON HIS SHOW LATER THAT EVENING!!

    U GO JESSE!!!

  31. OMG I LOVE JESSE VENTURA FIRST TIME HEARING HIM, HE IS AWESOME!!! STUPID ELIZABETH... HE REMINDS ME SO MUCH OF RON PAUL...!!!!! WEEEEEEEEEEEE

  32. This video skips way too much to even watch :(

  33. Elizabeth is sooooooooooooo ignorant it's disturbing.

Perhaps she should let her husband be waterboarded or rather "interrogated using 'enhanced' techniques", then she'd shut the hell up.

The View is a great programme. It's just a shame that they couldn't manage to find a conservative representative that isn't an imbecile.

  34. WAH! "Waterboarding is torture!" "In America we follow the rule of law" ...the problem with that argument is that the "rule of law" only works when ALL parties are bound by the law. Terrorists are guerrilla fighters and as such are not signatory to the Geneva Convention "rules." The terrorists seem to have no compunction using swords to slowly slice the heads off their captives, or in crashing planes into buildings containing CIVILIANS! But B-O-O H-O-O! A poor terrorist was waterboarded which resulted in information that stopped other civilians from dying needlessly in another preventable attack. If "enhanced interrogation" is stopped I suppose you can celebrate when you or your family is on the bus that explodes or in the building that implodes because the authorities couldn't stop the attack in time. YAY for the terrorists!

  35. Anon @ 2:06 am. I said to regions that are more like yourself, such as San Francisco, Chicago, NY, etc. Have you been abroad? I have. I have no problem with being abroad. I wouldn't want to live abroad but I have for about 8 months. So if you've lived abroad for more than a year, I will listen to your insight. Until then, don't make comments over simplified concepts.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Anon @ 2:06 am

The problem with people abroad is that they're OBSESSED with our news. When I was abroad, there was more concentration on American news than on their own. Maybe you should work on your own local governments than paying 95% news attention to what's abroad in the US.

Also Sweden, do you watch other news shows online? If you do, then awesome. But to get your foreign news from an entertainment show like The View, just isn't the brightest when you want to know about American Politics. Watch Fox News. They're the only source that states fact. All the other merely state opinion. Case in point....ACORN story killed by the NY Times on The O'Reilly Factor. :)

I live in CA right now so the rest of America will fall in line with CA if Obama keeps up his policies.

  37. You can watch this on the View website - http://abc.go.com/daytime/theview/video but Lester I appreciate everything you do!

I've never heard of this man before but he made such excellent points and really put Elisabeth in her place.

I read the NY Times every day. No I do not consider The View as my source of information or news. I have stated before that I follow
American News and Media. The View is media. I follow American media since I study these issues. But I must say - sine Im no snob so I consider The View highly entertaining.

European news do not only consist of American news. I would say that maybe 1 page per newspaper is devoted to American news.

    You avoided giving a respons.

  39. LMAO @ "Watch Fox News. They're the only source that states fact."

It should be, "Hey! You wanna be as enlightened and knowledgeable as Elisabeth Hasslebeck? Watch Fox News!"

I just watched this clip again. I'm not American, so I can't speak to that part of this dilemma. I can't speak to how I would feel if I were American and knew about the Guantanamo Bay facility. What I do know is that the world has never been completely safe for anyone, any country, in any time of history. What I do believe is that Americans and others have long used these types of procedures to get people to talk (i.e. the CIA in third world countries) but we've never really had the evidence that it is happening and on a fairly large scale over a long period of time. There are a couple of hundred people in Guantanamo. Should they all be there? I don't know, but remember, many of them were never proven to be criminals. I think America really needs to choose one way or another now. Does it continue to present itself as a leader, who is fair and just, a global hero of sorts, or does it continue down this dark path which will only lead to more and more problems, cast as inhumane, vicious, and no better than many countries it looks down on for human rights violations? I liked what Ventura had to say. It just made sense.

  41. Anonymous @ 9:24 - I don't even know where to start. So basically you're saying that because terrorists don't wear uniforms, we should give up our civil liberties, ignore our Constitution and sink to their level and torture people? Also, there is NO evidence that waterboarding saved any lives - Abu Zubaydah gave up info on KSM and Jose Padilla before he was waterboarded. The LA plot was stopped before enhanced interrogation techniques were implemented/used. And who exactly is celebrating the death of their own family? Perhaps you should get back on your meds.
