    This interview is atrocious- they should all be ashamed of themselves (except for Elizabeth Edwards, of course). They made this an attack and confrontation rather than a friendly, compassionate interview which it should have been. There is no excuse for interviewing her in this way-- harshly and rudely and continually listing all that has gone wrong for her. It began with Barbara’s dramatic, rude, "this is your life" monologue. What happened here? This is not at all how I anticipated this interview going.

    Anon @ 2:35 pm...I totally agree with you. However, when Barbara made her comments earlier about her and Larry King, I knew she was going to be disgruntled today. Haha.

    yes they were on attack mode. didnt even ask about her health....how she was feeling. and banbwa telling sherri her affair isnt the same was low. pain is pain

    Wow, Barbara acted like a total bitch towards her. She has no right to past judgment on her and her relationship with her husband like that. If she chooses to stay with her husband it is in no way anyone elses business. Would Barbara go after Hillary Clinton like that b/c she stayed with Bill?

    Whether he had a child with this other woman is irrelevant concerning their marriage. What matters is that he had the affair in the first place, he obviously didn't intentionally want to have a baby with her.

    Like Elizabeth Edwards stated, she agreed to write this book before all if this occurred, and it only takes up a small portion of the book as it is. Had she wrote it and not included information about the affairs she still would have been heavily criticized.

    Yea, I agree. I cut off this show midway through. I was like I'm good. I don't care anymore. It was never none of my business to begin with. What did Babs mean by the situation was not the same??? That point was completely lost on me. This was very distasteful.

    What the fuck was wrong with those women!?!? Those are 5 old hags that have no bearing on Mrs. Edwards existence whatsoever. She doesn't have to answer to anybody. They spent 15 mins talking about ONLY 20 pages of the book. That was sick. The only that was right was when EH said, "Elizabeth Edwards has class." Obviously something ALL of them were lacking. Yuck.

    please...this woman is a phony. she will be dead soon, so she pretends to be ok with her husband's affair, so it helps with her husband's political career and children's image...

    for all the people who called barbara a bitch, please. she's a journalist, and i would ask the same thing if i was in her position. we want to know the truth

    she may love her husband flaws and all...but i think it's more about pretending to be ok just so when she died, her husband can move on with his political career with few dents and it would benefit her children..think of it as her final sacrifice...

    i seriously doubt she is ok with the affair. i mean, i saw an interview with oprah, and how she said she is unaware about the child..seems to phony. people symphatised with her because she's dying...

    still don't know who the father of the child is? huh? if my husband was accused of fathering a child, i want them to take paternity test...

    horrible interview! Three questions at once, Joy cutting her off, Sheri making it about her, and Barb like a freakin attack dog. (she was just mad that Oprah was givin the 1st interview)

    hmm interesting. I have no intense opinion on it or her. I pray that she gets better and that her children will continue to be strong with her. My thing is, she looks like Edwards mother..even BEFORE she was diagnosed. Gay men seem to always get with unattractive passive women. hint hint.

    I think Barbara's first questions were a bit off. Maybe Elizabeth is a bit in denial or fragile? Who knows. But the point remains that maybe this is something that she needs to do. It doesn't matter that she only has a certain time to live or that she has children by her side. Maybe she needs to do this. Barbara's comments towards Sherri and Sherri's husband's infidelity were also off.

    Elizabeth is doing well. That is resilience. To have cancer, and to be a political figure, and to deal with her husband's huge infidelity, all in the public eye, is huge. The impact this has had on her family must be huge.
