  1. This is so true. I am now divorcing my husband and this man has basically left me with nothing. He has both luxury vehicles, refused paying any mutual bills or support for the past 8 months. I am living in a small room, with public transportation and struggling to find employment in this economy. We were married 10 years...

I was DEFINITELY expecting his superiors (he's military) and those around him who could ORDER him to do certain things to see that i was being fair and nice. I could have gotten both vehicles towed, he wouldn't have been able to claim them stolen because we are still legally married. I could have made his life a living hell but i didn't trying to be fair. He has abused me, threatened me and the very least i asked his superiors for a military protective order. They have treated me as if i'm a microwave or some household product. I have never felt like a second class citizen until going through this experience. He has his gender on his side. I AM at rock bottom but i HAVE become more of an advocate, so many women just "get back on track" and continue to date/marry. We need to be educating women on their rights because my rights were trampled on and when i could do something about it, i didn't even KNOW i had those rights. Now that i KNOW about my rights, its too late. So far he has gained over $30,000 in 8 months from his malice towards me. Priceless.

  2. LOL Whoopi looks so confused.

And LOL @ Sherri's reaction to Joy's comment to raise boys as girls and girls as boys. We all know Sherri's opinion on children expressing their transgender desires. Joy's comment made some sense. If the media is gonna sexualize girls and empower boys, maybe we should reverse the roles in the home and perhaps it will mitigate the effect. It would be interesting to see psychological studies done on this.

p.s. - Sorry to hear about your story (to 1st commenter). But sounds like you are using your experience to teach other womean which is great.
