Thanks Lester for posting the videos of The View and the Ellen Show! I love them both, but they aren't on in the Netherlands. So thanks a lot!

I don't know. Your videos always worked fine for me until they were posted on this blog. Now there is no sound, and I gather from a post on the YouTube channel, I'm not the only one. I checked a few other videos and they played fine.

ReplyDeleteis there a reason the clips in hot topics don't play? (ie referral clips like the AI clip in this vid)
one2minny, I heard they will be doing Opry week on AI. God help us all. Those kids cannot sing country let alone the traditional stuff. I'm sure we'll have to suffer through Elisabeth talking about how "outstanding" the performances were. I cringe every time she uses that word. One of her many verbal crutches.

ReplyDeleteWell, a randomly selected number of YouTube videos all played with sound. The View 3/11/09 no longer does on your blog. Are you using a new sound codec/format? Some AGP sound files don't always play properly on all devices.

I would have thanked you earlier, but I had not registered on YouTube, so I couldn't post comments before. I'm sorry I won't be able to use your posts here in the future. Good luck in the future.
I'm not blaming this on you, but every time I play one of your videos, it seems to disable my sound card. I went back to play the YT videos I played before trying yours again and they played loud and clear. After trying to play your videos (which played with no sounds) I went back and tried the first two videos I tried and they are now mute.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I DID read your tinyurl link; but I can't access that settings window; and there has to be more to it than that, because I've accessed YouTube videos through plenty of other sites like the NYTimes. Those all play perfectly well.
ReplyDeleteOne last thing. I DID discover that if one uses the IE Tab plugin in Firefox 3.0x (which runs a browser tab that emulates Internet Explorer), the videos will play with sound. Just a tip for those out there having problems.
