This show is turning into therapy for Sherri. They should pay for her counseling instead of having her work through it on national television. Some things should be dealt with in private.
Whoopi is so frickin' wise.... I heart that woman dearly....
And I thought it was pretty dang funny when Sherry told the bit about her niece doing telemarketing, and how that makes her more sympathetic to the people doing that job, so she tries to get off the phone with some kind of juicy story, something the poor lil telemarketers can talk about on their break... LOL!
Joy could you be many more insensitive? Your situation is not the same as Sherri's! You got over your marriage because you weren't in love with your husband anymore (as you have admitted), Sherri was still married to her husband and he not only cheated on her but he fathered another child just after Sherri gave birth to his child!
Somebody needs to get a hold of Sherri's soon to be (?) ex- husband and give him a good beating! The more I hear about him the more I'm convinced he is a total and utter scumbag!!!
As for Mel Gibson, I have lost ALL respect for him!! For somebody that purports to be a devout Christian, he sins more than the average person! A DUI here, a racial slur here, adultery etc. he sickens me! Yes nobody is perfect but it's the hypocrisy of the whole thing that gets me - he needs to practice what he preaches! I hope his wife bleeds him dry - she gave birth to seven of his children and put up with him all these years, she must be a saint! Rant over!
Whoopi is right about pain and loss. You'll only get over it when you decide to be happy/ Of course it hurts, but if you have self respect and some self worth, you'll realise you're too good for it. Confronting the person also helps, particularly if they have taken away your power and strength. And then you may come to realise that it is more about them than you. Ask yourself "what does it say about them?"
Whoop is also right about harassing calls. There should be tougher restrictions on the ability of these people to call you. It is an invasion of one's personal space and privacy. How dare someone who you don't know call you and annoy you. You haven't even given them permission to call you.
