So they tried on over 300 swimsuits and they could only manage to put her in a basic black suit? At least she could've had colorful heels on. Quite disappointed in all this. Happy that she's started the process, hope that she can continue it as often times that's the hardest part of it all. The most significant areas I think that she needs to work on are her arm jiggle & her thighs. It's not always attractive to see her in tank tops or dresses where her arms are exposed.
However, next time they should have a live showing of measurement/lbs lost, even if the pounds are low.
I can't understand why they did that. They knew how hard she worked to get toned and drop inches, why did they throw all that food at her at the end? Do they not want her to stay healthy? Everybody who's ever seriously tried to alter their eating habits knows you're not supposed to reward yourself with food. It's a slippery slope to gaining all that weight back and it's like they're trying to sabotage all her good work.
Totally. It was in poor tact. They should've presented her with some nutritious/lighter version of a cake that was sponsored or just gifted to her to continue her future bathing suit goals. I mean c'mon Barbara, you're how old and you question whether something such as ribs, chips and cake are good for her to eat? Barbara needs to go.
I have the same problem with my upper arms as Sherri, but I didn't think it was THAT unattracive when she had on tank top or sleevless dresses. It made me realize that I was making too much a fuss of something, that maybe wasn't that bad.... I didn't think it was unattracive, it was who she was
Mariam: I totally dont think its unattractive. I used to weigh a fair bit more than I do now, and was so paranoid that my arms were "fat". Now that Ive slimmed down and actually have skinny, toned arms, I realize its wasnt unattractive at all, the old me or other women. It was my own self consciousess back then. Wear whats comfortable! Its just an arm ;)
i think she looks good. i have to say, though, i'm sure they could have found a bathing suit that was more flattering to her body shape. this one isn't at all!
good job for doing all the work, sherri! keep it up!
Bravo Sherri! You are an inspiration in many ways and a good many of us are thankful for your willingness to do this publicly. It has indeed been helpful for many of us to see the progress right along with the struggles and results. Much love and respect.
I'm not a fan of the style of women's bathing suits in general, nor the pressure women feel to fit in those god awful things. I'm a fairly fit person who probably "looked" reasonably good in a normal women's suit but never felt completely comfortable and relaxed in them. I was finally liberated when I jumped in my first pair of men's swing trunks at the age of 25 and never looked back. I highly recommend it. :)
(Thanks as always Lester for keeping us entertained with the videos!)
Sheri is obviously wearing some type of fit figure swim suit which flattens and sculpts the waist and tummy area. She is also wearing pantyhose. Probably control top.
Sherri looks good, her thighs/legs are just right, nice and curvy. I don't think they should have wheeled out all that food though at the end - a little embarrassing for Sherri to be expected to start chowing down on spare ribs in a bathing suit.
Yes I thought the groaning table of food was in bad taste, don't know what they were thinking of, unless they were saying 'here you are you fat pig, now eat it up' it looked like they were laughing at her in a cruel way.
wow guys...it was obvious the moment The View showed how overweight women could look thinner by wearing form-fitting clothes that Sherri planned on finding a swimsuit that had special material. She is definitely wearing a swimsuit that hugs her body in all the right places to help her look more fit and she has special leggings on also. She was stuffing her face every other show and barely lost any weight. Her trainers didn't even look THAT proud of her, they just had to act like they were
She looks great! But I wished she would've worn the bathing suit she wore in that People's magazine issue. I wish they gave her a healthy meal from like Jenny Craig or something, instead of those Ribs.
Also, if you have arm jiggle...it is NOT attractive.
I was shocked to hear she had lost 41 lbs though. You wouldn't have known it how she was talking about food the whole time, but if she did lose that much in such a short time, congrats. I still don't believe it was that much though...haha

ReplyDeleteAnybody, is this the last episode of The View until January 7th?

I completely agree! That was wrong of them to do, I would have been embarrassed if I were Sherri.

That should have been "men's swim trunks" not "swing trunks". But swing trunks sound kinda fun too. ;)
ReplyDeleteCheers Sherri!

ReplyDeleteThis is from the View's ABC website:
"The View is on hiatus and will not tape the weeks of August 10, August 17 and August 24, 2009"
I think you're getting confused about Whoopi's date with Elisabeth when they come back from their Christmas break on January 7th, 2010.
really not that impressive. she could have done a lot more.
ReplyDeleteActually January 4, 2010 is when ABC Daytime resumes production of all its shows.
ReplyDeleteLOL! i feel this is a jab at star, esp when sherri said, "you don't have to do anything crazy, just exercise", LOL
ReplyDeletesherri looks good though...
Sherri looks good, her thighs/legs are just right, nice and curvy.
ReplyDeleteI don't think they should have wheeled out all that food though at the end - a little embarrassing for Sherri to be expected to start chowing down on spare ribs in a bathing suit.
good for you, Sherri! And I'd love a pair of legs like those!
ReplyDeleteTHe food thing was completely uncalled for, and tasteless...
Yes I thought the groaning table of food was in bad taste, don't know what they were thinking of, unless they were saying 'here you are you fat pig, now eat it up' it looked like they were laughing at her in a cruel way.
ReplyDeleteThe swimsuit(out of 300!) is not flattering at all, her fashion GURU should be fired, really.
ReplyDeleteSo now what? No posts until the season premieres? What am I gonna do? lol
ReplyDeleteHer fashion guru is gay. He couldn't care less what she looks like in a swimsuit, he was never gonna pound her ass anyway, nice body or not

ReplyDeleteshe is built "big boned" for her body type she looks great
ReplyDeletenothing unrealistic very healthy looking
She looks great! But I wished she would've worn the bathing suit she wore in that People's magazine issue. I wish they gave her a healthy meal from like Jenny Craig or something, instead of those Ribs.
ReplyDeletegetting off medidcation is a big deal. so she did not shrink 6 sizes. she did really good.
ReplyDeleteHaha there is no such thing as big-boned.
ReplyDeleteAlso, if you have arm jiggle...it is NOT attractive.
