Why is she starting a dieting company? Why would someone trust a person that clearly has an eating disorder? She is not in a position to give weight advice. Jojodieting is an eating disorder and people who suffer from this really need to figure out WHY they are feeding their emotions with food.
Diets don't work. I also don't belive in programs like Jenny Craig because you don't learn how to prepare wholesome meals on you own. What have people learned once the diet is over? It's impossible to feed yourself with Jenny Craig the rest og your life so when the diet is over you will go back to old habits.
Yeah. A very real problem. That does not mean that I would take dieting advice from an anorectic either.
OK. If you just want to categorise obesity as a "real women" issue go right ahead. For me weight is a helth issue and has really nothing to do with looks. Diabetes, heart issues, cancer, infertility are just some of the health problems. (Kirstey clearly doesn't get this part since she just talks about looks) You are the one that is demeaning - Im the one saying it's a real health issue.
When you eat you get higher doses of serotonin flowing in your body which creates happiness and comfort feelings. That is the one of the main reason why some people eat too much.
She does look great! That does unfortunately don't mean that you are healthy. And health goes first.
What I noticed through it is that she is obviously insecure about the weight, even though out in the real world, she's pretty close to average size. And Oprah was incredibly condescending for someone that has the same weight issues and is pretty thick herself.
These two clearly have problems with eating. Kirstie's gone neurotic over it and Oprah throws a bunch of cliches at the situation.
Neither work. You have to burn off more matter than you put in. Sure there's exercise, diet, and surgery, but the major factor in how much you burn is metabolism...which is mostly out of your control. They need to accept that.
I feel like both of these women have checked out of reality on the weight issue. Oprah's in denial and Kirstie's bartering. They both need to accept.

ReplyDeleteI was looking forward to see this Kirstey interview!
Something about her is off...I hear a lisp or something different when she speaks.
