Thank you so much for posting this, leester! Farrah is brave and a true inspiration. It reminded me of how precious life is. I'm so grateful for my relatively good health. After seeing this video, I'm even more determined to do my very best to stay healthy and enjoy every single day of my life...
Thanks Lester for posting this. Farrah is a beautiful and generous woman who has unselfishly shared her story and battle with cancer. She is truly an icon.
What I want to say is that her son is so selfish. I know she probably doesn't want to "burden" him by having him tag along with her during treatments, but i'm sure him being there some of the time would have been a great lift in her spirits. Instead, he gets himself addicted to drugs and put in jail.
My father had a stroke a year ago and he's not easy to deal with even on good days, but my sister and I still are there for him as much as we can be when we're not working. It's just disheartening to see someone who is the same age as me and can be so insensitive to what his mother is going through.
Having said that, I'm not sure what their relationship is like, but it looks like he was treated pretty well by his parents.
Regarding Redmund, the son of Farrah and Ryan, if you did not know already, Ryan's Oscar winning daughter Tatum also battled drug and alcohol addiction during her adolescent and early adulthood.
Having lived in California, I can honestly say that the parenting styles of the rich and famous leave much to be desired. Often times wealth is misused and discipline falls to the side so that children grow up irresponsible and selfish--just like Redmund. I too felt that Redmund showed a lack of caring and respect toward his parents and that he was literally useless and not a comfort to Farrah and Ryan. I also understand why Farrah kept him out of the show until the very last. Now on to positive!
I found the show refreshing. I'm middle aged and none of my friends who have had cancer or a serious illness has informed me like Farrah did. Although it probably was not Farrah's intent, her show takes the viewers through a variety of steps and educates us on our options and forms of treatments. Bravo!
The only thing that bothered me is that Farrah did not adequately address her treatment in Germany and how she paid for it and what can people with limited income do. This made the disparity between rich and poor and greater.
I loved seeing Kate Jackson and Jaclyn Smith. Good to see that Farrah leaving the show didn't break up their friendship. My only question was where was Lee Majors. I found it a bit hard that everyone else was calling and wishing her well. You'd think Lee would let go some of the old hurt and support his ex-wife in her time of need.

I'm praying for a miracle.
