ReplyDeleteI agree I can't watch the Tyra Banks Show. To be honest, some of her topics are more modern and current than Oprah but I feel like Tyra isn't mature enough to handle and analyze these topics. Especially when she talks about how her being the first black woman on Sports Illustrated: Bikini Issue was a breakthrough for a whole race *rolls eyes* lol
I completely agree with you. I think that a lot of her shows have undergone way too much tweaking to favour a particular viewpoint. Especially when there're controversial guests, who probably wanted to use the opportunity to express themselves properly, but are given excessive editing treatment instead.

I didn't make it through 15 seconds of that. I've caught a couple clips of her show before too and each time it's the same reaction. I can't get how someone like that gets a show and actually has an audience.
ReplyDeleteyour kidding me rigght? I just CAN NOT take this shows serious, i can not take the womans's problem serious! I agree it is very slow, almost dragging! And NOT funny!

The Oprah show enriches my life with helpful advice and inspiring stories.

ReplyDeleteI've watched a couple of Tyra shows which weren't so bad but I do admit she gets too dramatic or goes way off with her topics at time. I suggest you go ahead with show sampling up until The View and Ellen come back. Thanks again Lester for keeping us entertained.

Come on guys, I love Tyra and have been waiting for you to upload them for a while! Lester, please continue uloading them, that would be awesome! And to the other people, maybe you could watch a couple of episodes and then judge again. I agree that this one may not necessarily be the most serious one, but she had some pretty interesting ones... Please give her a chance.

Maybe Lester should get a week off, too? We don't want him to give up what he originally agreed to do because we are asking him to do too much. He can't spend his entire day watching and taping shows for us!

WTF???? I love The Tyra Banks Show but I found this episode highly offensive! The women were treated like a piece of meat while they were lined up and the men passed judgement on them! This show highlights alot of the problems with society's obsession with looks! And all those girls boyfriend's sound like total jackasses for criticising their girlfriends! Take the log out of your own eye before you take the splint out of somebody elses! But Thanks for posting this Lester!
ReplyDeleteTyra is really starting to annoy me. This show is extremely degrading. Isn't Tyra always preaching about women loving their bodies? Now she has a panel of "male body judges" telling women how they should look? And this is the same woman that runs an all girls camp? Her comment about "women being confused on what men want" is also degrading. Tyra is intensely fake.
ReplyDeleteshe's not as polished as oprah, and tyra still adopt that 'stand away from guest and with the audience' to put her guest (non-celebrity) into the spotlight, and turn the discussion into a very sensationalised show. she doesnt handle the interviews well, especially with the 'gay for pay' episode..there's so much she could dig up - respectably- but she just went it for the shock factor
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the Tyra show and disappointed that you won't be posting more. I would be prepared to donate just to get her shows posted, if others don't like it then they shouldn't watch it, plain and simple!
