elisabeth's late arrival was sweet and lighthearted, and i had hopes that maybe, like yesterday, she was lightening up a little. then she diminished the heavy burden that is on obama right now, and *poof* all my hopes were lost. sad.
ReplyDeleteThe IMF has stated that the UK economy is in a much better state than the US and that the UK will emerge from the current ecconomic downturn sooner than the US.
ReplyDeleteJust the facts folks.
We're all in this together.
This is a global issue.
The world needs to act as one.
The UK is NOT looking to the US to fix us....thank you very much.
PS Stop touchin up our queen :p
Britmom,
ReplyDeleteThe Queen started it.:p
according to the report in Times Online.
"PS Stop touchin up our queen"
ReplyDeleteBritmon, here is the report by your newspaper
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/politics/G20/article6022502.ece
"They missed the real story, however. What was far more interesting was that the Queen put her arm round the First Lady."
PS Stop touchin up our First Lady :p
I now know, for certain, Elisabeth brings down the quality of discussion. Even Sherri turns dumb when Elisabeth shows up. Also, everything I've read states that England's recovery (as well as most of the world's) is hinged to ours (as our financial markets are painfully linked). So :P::::: You may recover more completely sooner, but not without us and our efforts.
ReplyDeleteEH really doesn't understand shit!
ReplyDeleteSeriously, I dont think that the Queen of England made those rules about respect for the Queen. And if she did, I would only assume that it applies to people without an honorable title
ReplyDeleteIt applies to any British subject and the Obama's are not British subjects.
ReplyDeleteYeah, woulda been nice had E just not bothered to show.
ReplyDeletethe great Queen and the First Lady are both Capricorns.
I'm sure they'll get on VERY WELL.
Europe would never have messed up the worlds econ like the U.S. did. Hats off to Europe! I have great respect for folks who know what respect is.

'the dollar is the standard currency for the world'
ReplyDelete... hopefull not for much longer! At the next summit ( and at this one) there was great support for an new interntional reserve currency as the dollar is weak. Hopefully this will take America down a peg or two and we will not got into this mess again.
p.s. leave the Queen alone!
I love how people make such a big deal of the First Lady touching the Queen when the Queen didnt even have a problem with it! lol
ReplyDelete& man, I want a cupcake haha.
p.s. Thanx Lester!! =]
Wished Lizzy had shown up even later, so that Sherri could have her good 1/3 of the discussion for a change.
ReplyDeleteDear Texasmam901 please read my post in its entireity and you will see that I am certainly not trying to start a US vs UK rant my dear.
ReplyDeleteYou seem to have had a bit of humour bypass.
BTW if you ever left the US you might find that there are other currencies doing a whole lot better.

ReplyDeleteAnon. at 12.11 - I know, "Queen of England"??? It's so infuriating, that's like someone calling Obama the "President of Ohio". Very annoying! It makes people sound very ignornant!
