Bitsy asked Valentino if he sees his brand going to Walmart or Target... good gawd, will somebody smack the hell out this bitch.
ReplyDeleteWow Barbara was so rude, yanking his arm away from his mouth!! That was unbelievable, if someone did something like that to her I think she would be outraged! She is well and truly losing the plot, almost every time she speaks my eyes involuntarily roll! time to leave, I think...
ReplyDeleteElisabeth is such a f-cking bitch
ReplyDeleteWow, Babwa and Ewizabeth. All I can say is wow.
ReplyDeletewell, Elizabeth is just stupid. ?!how can u ask that?! is proves that she has no true knowledge of high class.
ReplyDeleteBarbara was rude. But she can always say: well, I've known him for 30 years, we've very close. and so, she could afford to make that gesture
To be fair...she asked a very valid question.
ReplyDeleteIf the market in one segment is shrinking (luxury), you gotta pay the bills somehow. Ergo, Target and Wal-Mart. Which is why she mentioned derivative lines. Mizrahi sells in Target, bet if you asked him about that 15-20 years ago, he would have scoffed as well.
I agree with willyjsimmons. Elisabeth usually just asks the questions that are on the cards. And that was a good question for her to ask, especially when HE was the one initiating dialogue about women spending during a recession.
ReplyDeletehow did the conversation turned from hout coutur to walmart and target !!!
ReplyDeletelove it when you comment on the videos lester, it starts up conversations
I cannot believe Barbara pulled his hand.
ReplyDeleteAnd I was laughing out loud when Elizabeth asked that Wal Mart question! Valentino at Wal Mart?!??! LOL
Valid question, my ass. Valintino is high fashion right up there with Coco Channel or Armani. You can never find designer's stuff selling on original shop let alone on Walmart or Target. Once again, it shows that Elizabeth is really stupid or she is really, really ignorant.
ReplyDeletei think that elizabeth needed to say that to confirm to valentino that she is in fact the retarted one. Mizrahi wishes for the career of Valentino. Most designers that do those collections on a consistent basis, not one off basis do it cause the bitch be broke and gots to pay some bills.
ReplyDeleteValentino is a legendary desinger
ReplyDeleteI don't think it has got a less expensive line yet.to jump to walmart target IS an insult to valentino.
And Valentino is one of the very very few high fashion that don't do generic designs ( eg, a tee shirt with a valentino logo on it and new colour every season)
Why are you guys bitching about Elisabeth? She asked a question that was on her mind. Its not like she came out of nowhere saying DO YOU WANT YOUR LINE IN WAL MART? it tied in with the current topic they were talking about
ReplyDelete"Why are you guys bitching about Elisabeth?"
ReplyDeleteYou just don't get it, do you? She insulted Valentino.
You can say Barbara and Valentino are old pals, she can afford to yank his arm away from his face as much as he can put his hand on her knee :) No big deal, don't be jealous girls!
ReplyDeleteOh I adore Valentino on here! Americans could learn a lot about being "un-cooth" - like Joy was and E-bitch was. Wal mart...HAHAHHAHAHAHHA!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHe was so gracious and kind, even to Walmart, he was PC, but he ACTUALLY WAS polite. I loved how he made Whoop beem. He makes me want to proper and where a dress!
:0) :o)
want to speak proper
ReplyDeleteha ha ha ha lester!!!! your comment above this video is hilarious! i felt embarrassed for Hasselbeck when she asked that question. Stupid Bitch!
ReplyDeleteDidn't Valentino design a limited edition collection for H&M a few years back? :)
ReplyDeleteAnyways, I agree with most of the people who have commented. It was a very inappropriate question Elisabeth asked. Valentino is a high fashion (haute couture) icon. To even consider he would design for Target or Wal-Mart is very insulting. Totally low-brow and disappointing even for Elisabeth who I do not view highly of :(
eventhough her question was a little stupid, but yeah, valid question, since some people do want to know. valentino won't sell out like other designers.
ReplyDeleteIt's funny to me that people are thinking OMG how could she have asked that. Ummm its just a question, and ummm he is just a designer, not a god lol. Beleive me im sure Sam Waltons family has more money then he ever will. I get the whole he is a fashion icon, but dang its not that serious.
ReplyDeleteOf course it's just a question. Of course he isn't god. But would it be appropriate for E-Bitch to ask a guest if he slept around with men? Would it be appropriate for E-Bitch to ask a guest if he ever used slave labor? Would it be appropriate for E-Bitch to ask if he ever copied his design from another designer? Would it be appropriate for E-Bitch to ask if he considered selling his merchandise in K-Mart?
ReplyDeleteSelling in Walmart or Target is equivalent to selling in K-Mart. When are u are going to stop defending the Bitch?
.
ReplyDelete.
Walmart = Selling cheap chinese-made stuff
Please don't tell us it is appropriate to ask a haute couture designer to sell his stuff in Walmart
Very right indeed, Lester!
ReplyDeleteAnd Valentino isn't a designer, he is an artist, the last of his breed (Coco, St-Laurent, Givenchy, Dior- Armani or Lagerfeld aren't even there yet, still too young)... Cannot compare him to Mizrahi!!!
"Of course it's just a question. Of course he isn't god. But would it be appropriate for E-Bitch to ask a guest if he slept around with men? ReplyDeletewtf are you going off about. calm down.
what if he did want to put his line in walmart?
damn, he can do whatever he wants. i'm sure he's not as pretentious as you.
maybe bloomingdales or macy's :P
ReplyDeletethis line of convo was more intersting than the video LMAO I think this argument is worse than the comment. Entertaining but stupid LMAO...
ReplyDeleteValentino obviously was not nearly as upset by the question than some people here. Honestly, if you can get sooooo agitated for someone you don't know over something that they don't take seriously themselves, you have way too much free time and energy.
ReplyDeleteElizabeth's question about Target may have seemed ridiculous, but Alexander McQueen just began a line for Target, so maybe it isn't as insane of a question as it initially seems.
ReplyDeletewow... Valentino is truly a gentleman. I'm really looking forward to seeing the documentary. He's not OTT like Giorgio Armani, he's humble, he's charismatic and he knows how to handle ridiculous questions like Elisabeth's!
ReplyDeleteCOME ONE! it'd be like asking Prada, Gucci, Chanel, Dior, Ermenegildo Zegna, or any other high fashion house whether they would make a budget line for Target or Wal-Mart... it's an insult to their work. I mean, these fashion houses are decades old and there is a certain level of work that goes into each garment. I mean, the 'newer' fashion labels like Alexander McQueen would diversify because they're new. I mean, how many Hollywood stars do you see wearing Alexander McQueen on the red carpet compared to Valentino, Armani or Dior?
Anyway, I commend Valentino for handling that question with such dignity.
I think it's wrong to create clothes that sell for this amount of money when there are people starving and dying of simple illnesses all over the world. People who create them and have yachts while there are homeless people should be the ones who are embarrassed, not Elizabeth. And I am not an Elizabeth fan.
ReplyDeleteThough I have no love for Elizabeth most every show, I didn't think her question was in bad taste since Valentino himself brought up recession and less spending habits so the question is a natural progression to that. I don't think he minded at all.
ReplyDeleteWhat was worse IMO was Barbara's pulling his hand down like a mom or grandma policing how a kid behaves in company!
