Totally tasteless. I usually like them but that was disappointing. "Whoopi can pull the plug! (followed by audience laughing)" What the hell was that about, Joy? RIP Natasha.
OK, so after yesterday I looked up Natasha, and as the day went on and the news on my home page continued to change, well, I just lost my own mom 11-4-06 very unexpectedly- just like this, she's healthy as an ox, it was the furthest from everyone's mind. I really feel for her sons right now. That whole family of folks are truely really good people and her mother! Its like the Travoltas all over again in a way, not to take away from either of their situations. The ladies are very used to rumor mills in their line of work and they separate and compartmentalize because they have to. Tomorrows show will be a different tone about it I'm sure. They tape early and so she wasn't passed and the rumor mill was out of control. The type of accident she had - the ladies would not have thought in a million years it was really that bad. I do think you all are coming down too hard on them. They are all of them, even E-bitch, sensitive hearts and they do care very much. They are still rooting for Patrick and very concerned for him, and they stood up for the Travolta's and even that one star's dog that passed away.
hi there...experiencing a sound problem and wondering if you have any suggestions. i have tried several times to watch your videos but cannot get sound for some reason. sound works fine with everything else. has anyone else experienced this? thank you! kate
The jokes about "pulling the plug" and all the legalities regarding death were completely tasteless. They do need more structure (talking)...I can't stand when they talk over each other!
i too noticed the remark about "pulling the plug" and how that feeds into Natasha Richardson's condition. whoopi was very dignified and respectful during her remarks about Natasha's accident, and she was very respectful about letting viewers know that they, The View, had no idea at the time what was going on with natasha's condition (she was still apparently on life support at the time). having watched joy and whoopi all these years i cannot imagine that any disrespect was intended, and with all my heart i wish the Neesons, Redgraves and Richardsons my heartfelt condolences. thank you natasha, for all of it... i loved you in the Handmaid's Tail...i will miss your luminous eyes and gravelly, sultry voice..., god bless... xoxo
i am so saddened by ms.richardson's passing. such a talent. i hold no grudge against joy for discussing pulling the plug, since it is very true that non-marrieds have no clout, and this is very important, especially for gay people. i just wish it wasnt happening on the day of natasha's passing. joy didnt know she would pass away today. no one did. godspeed natasha, and let's hope The View remembers you tomorrow as the lovely woman that you are. all blessings...
yes let's hope the view remembers you as the lovely woman you are! a nice retrospective is appropriate for "a friend of The View"!" no garbage gossip about garbage celebrities, let's hear it for natasha!! peace and love and BLESSINGS, to you and your family... you will be missed. you are, already.
I thought they were really tasteless discussing pulling the plug when they had just spoken about Natasha Richardson. Didn't they think for a second that maybe she might pass away? Jeez, what idiots. Also, Barbara Walters is one of the most annoying people on television, I much prefer it when she's not there.
Thank you for coming to my blog.

Gosh, this was kinda horrible.
ReplyDeleteReally sad !!
ReplyDeleteYeah is was! They need some type of structure way of talking. This was a mess.
ReplyDeleteRIP Natasha!!! You will be missed! Why The View didn't mention her condition yesterday is still beyond me!
ReplyDeleteHow can they joke about pulling the plug after mentioning Natasha Richardson's condition?
