    Sherri (in particular) and Elisabeth's ignorance never ceases to amaze me! I think Joy raised some interesting points but for Elisabeth to sugeest that these women "became gay" (not her words) because of some hormone imbalance is ridiculous!

    There have been studies to suggest that women crave a more masculine partner in their fertile years and a more feminine partner in their later years, but I think this is mostly just a revival of a discussion that began a long time ago and their just trying to create controversy. Lifetime covered this topic in the 90's and Babs' trying to boost ratings for an upcoming special she's airing is my bet. Why are the conversations Sherri and Elizabeth participate in most make me feel dumber afterwards and embarassed, slightly, of my gender :(

    and the whole lesbian conversation was rediculas
    whoopie would put them in thier place you know how she is
    thier conversation seemed to lean toward being bi not lesbianism any conversation about an "ism"

    are embarrassing, Anon 1:13, I agree with you
    too. Babs is trying...reaching.
    Joy is the only brain when Whoop is gone.
    Babs is way wrong...lesbians and women in general
    are not supported in the U.S. anyway. It is still
    very taboo to be "out".
    This conversation just goes to show how little
    women are understood. :0(
    Oprah's artical is very interesting and I'm glad
    she got the conversation started, but The View
    can't continue it with any sense. Rosie's eyes
    would have been ROLLING! HAHAHHAHAHHA

    You people are idiots. There IS scientific evidence to suggest that gays have a hormonal imbalance. The idea is not ridiculous at all. You want to say that people are born gay, but you dont want to accept the scientific reason as to why they are that way? If there's a reason as to why people are straight, then why would there not be a reason as to why people are gay? Sounds like someone's in denial...LMFAO.

    Whoopi's supposedly coming 2 England this week, she's appearing on a couple of shows..so maybe she left already...it takes a long time when you're not on a plane. But Babs sais she'd be back on Monday..so maybe she is flying....I dunno...the show certainly ain't the same without her tho is it! Lol!

    @Anon 6:43pm. I think you're misusing the word "imbalance". You might wanna rephrase and say their endocrine system doesn't function the same way a straight person's would (as opposed to it not functioning *correctly*). So, be wary next time to toss out the word "idiot" at other ppl, plz.

    I miss whoopi, conversations without her end up making me go like huh? She adds the brains to the show. Like the other day they were like is Julia Roberts making less hits coz she's 40 and Whoopi went "hasn't it occured to anyone that it might have had something to do with the script? Thanks Lester, keep up the good work.

    What a load of hogwash! Whoopi would have lost her mind during that lesbian discussion. How the hell can you have that bunch discussing homosexuality when they know nothing about it? Elizabeth is such a moron, her views are so uninformed and conservative she shouldn;t even be allowed near a gay topic! At least Joy made a valid point, she was the most rational of the lot. Gah, Whoopi is the only one worth watchig on this show.

    PS: ABC's site is crap, Lester rocks!
